      <description><![CDATA[<p><b>About the Role</b><br> The Momentum Centre is looking for a compassionate, community-minded individual to join our team as an <b>Accounting Specialist</b>. <b></b></p><p>This is more than a job - it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of youth, support employer partners, and contribute to a growing movement focused on building resilient workforces and economies centered on equitable access and reconciliation.</p><p><br></p><p>The Accounting Specialist is a critical member of our team, responsible for maintaining the financial integrity and compliance of the organization. This role manages full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll while ensuring that fund-specific reporting and charitable status requirements are met. &nbsp;A key component of the role involves navigating the complexities of non-profit finance, including the administration of Cooperating Workplace (CWP) claims, donor receipting, and external funder reporting.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The starting pay rate for this role is <b>$27.10/hour</b>. However, we are open to negotiating a higher rate for candidates who bring additional relevant experience or advanced education.
